In the Beginning.....

Rockology were formed by Rod & Jai back in October of 2004 Purely by accident, one night in E.J's Bar –Torquay, where Jai's uncle DREW MILLIN was performing. Rod ((guitar)) & Jai ((vocals)) were currently performing together in the band "Somethin' Else" but had never performed as a duo. But that night Drew invited the Boys to get up and perform. After a brilliant acoustic version of Deep Purple's "Smoke on the water", Andy Oakley (of E.J’s bar) gave the lads there 1st gig. At the time they chose to call themselves "ACOUSTIC ROCK".

Armed with there new name and new image, the duo have gone on to perform some of the best music from the world of Rock. From AC/DC to ZZ TOP the duo are constantly hard at work learning new songs. For the next few months of many gigs and the release of "live @ E.J's" C.D, there was unfortunate clash of names with another duo which led to the renaming from "Acoustic Rock" to "ROCKOLOGY". The name came to Jai one night after watching the Jack Black movie - "School of Rock" (and supping on a bottle of Jack Daniels!!)

In one year since forming, ROCKOLOGY had become one of the best duo's in Torbay and Devon... Jai says "Working with Rod is a pleasure and one of the best things to happen in recent years and we have alot planned for the future and this hopefully will include our 1st original debut E.P. We have alot of ideas and it's an exciting time for us.

Between 2004 - 08, the guys have been busy gigging and writing. Jai's hair has got longer and his belly bigger! But its now 2008 - 09 and they are stronger than ever with the sister band "Crossfire" in toe. So what’s new for 2009? Well we are about to release a new C.D ‘Covered Up ‘. It includes a handful of Rockology’s fave songs from their set and features a exclusive last track, our first fully recorded original named ‘ Walking with Shadows ‘, which is planned to be included on Our forthcoming C.D which will be ALL ORIGINALS !! ‘ Untitled as yet, we hope to release this in time for spring 2009.

There are new links that will take you direct to other websites, for example Rockology’s Myspace, Facebook and Bebo. There is also a link direct to The New Machine’s (Pink Floyd Tribute) website of which Jai is Drummer/vocalist. Of course Crossfire has its own page and includes its own gig diary and there is still the Rockology Forum for you rock fans to meet and chat. And my favourite, the all new Rockology Guest Book, where you can leave your comments and thoughts on Rockology or whatever you like really (Bullshit comments will be deleted). Our Email address is Rockology@hotmail.co.uk, if you would like to send in any letters or any pictures you may have taken at gigs to be included on our Gallery. So please enjoy the site and basically, see ya out there!!!!!!!
